Texas Flood Response – Current Situation (July 2026)

Disaster Aid USA teams are responding to widespread flash flooding across Central and South Texas following days of record-breaking rainfall. Communities in the Texas Hill Country, Uvalde, Kerrville, Bandera, and surrounding areas have experienced rapidly rising rivers, flooded neighborhoods, washed-out roads, and extensive damage to homes and businesses. More than 570 water rescues have been conducted, and at least two fatalities have been confirmed as emergency crews continue search, rescue, and recovery operations. Governor Greg Abbott has declared a disaster for dozens of counties and activated thousands of emergency responders and hundreds of specialized vehicles, boats, and aircraft.

Disaster Aid USA Response

The Disaster Aid USA Response Team from New Braunfels, Texas, led by Rick Kielsling, is deploying heavy equipment, chainsaw crews, and trained volunteers to manage muck-and-gut operations in affected communities.

Working alongside local emergency management, Rotary districts and clubs, partner organizations, and community leaders, our teams are providing debris removal, chainsaw operations, property cleanup, damage assessments, and other critical support to help families begin the recovery process.

As floodwaters recede, Disaster Aid USA remains committed to helping survivors safely return to their homes and supporting the long-term recovery of the communities we serve.
